Yellowstone????

Nope, we didn't take a trip up to Yellowstone, we headed up to Paradise where the buffalo roam. We decided to take Sally up to see the farm and my family. I was really glad we did, because then I got to go along for the ride too. Its been awhile since I have been over on the west, and it was great to be there. It is such a gorgeous place, one of my favorite places to be for sure. These are the "buffs" we all gave my Dad for his 60th birthday. They are now both pregnant and huge!! They came right over to the truck, and I got close enough to touch one of the beasts.

I like this shot. Man and his land.

The buffs just hang out with the cows and don't really cause too much trouble. They are always together and do what they want, when they want to do it. It was warm enough that the ground wasn't frozen, so it was a little muddy. We didn't get stuck, and Sally had a great time"off roading" as she called it:) Thanks Dad for the tour:)

We had dinner, and enjoyed each others company. My mom and dad should put up a soup kitchen sign outside of their house. They are always feeding someone, and don't every seem to mind. Thanks for having us, and making Sally feel so welcome.

Jazz game and Ginobili

This is Sallyann. She is Graham's adopted Grandma from Cheyenne. She was our nurse, and we spent so much time at the doctor's office, we formed a great relationship:) She came to visit us this past week, and we had a great time. She is a HUGE spurs fan!! We planned her trip around a Jazz/Spurs game. She would basically do anything she could to be Ginobili's personal nurse. This was a great start to a great couple of days. She had her binoculars out, T-shirt on, and was ready to cheer loud! We had a great time at the game, the Jazz even kept it close. Papi and Grandma watched Graham for us, and he was a good boy while we were gone. Thanks Papi and Grandma Connie! This picture is for her. I also told her I'd send any others that we took of her "sweet Ginobili".

I thought the cowboy hat was appropriate right in front of us.

We love basketball

Things that made me smile this week

I found myself feeling very happy this week. Nothing in particular happened. I think, or should I say KNOW that getting more sleep=a happy, nicer me:) I have this saying that when something great is happening, or when I want to remember a moment forever, that I'm "making a mental picture, or memory"..and then really try to soak up what is happening.
This happened more than once this week. Not all weeks are like this, and its something that I try to work on, trying to recognize the good and not focus on the bad, or hard, or whatever negative is around.
This week I remember walking into the bedroom and spying on Graham and Jared in the tub. Jared was singing to Graham, and Graham was bobbing his head back and forth happily touching his dad's face. I watched them for a few minutes, and felt so blessed to have both of them in my life, and so happy that they had each other.

We went up to my mom and dad's for a day, while Jared worked in Logan. I loved watching Autumn and Graham play together. She is the boss, but so sweet with him at the same time. He was such a big boy, and wanted me to know it. He would get this face everytime he would reach the top of the stairs or when he would stand on top of the couch.
I also love how he taps my mom's neck and then will lay his head down on her and snuggle.

We built a fort at home this week, and Graham thought it was great. He is at such a fun age! He is so curiuos, and he laughs whenever someone else will laugh. I laughed everytime he would try to pull the blanket down, and then he would laugh. We did this over and over, and I loved it.

He is trying to feed himself with a spoon. This is very hard for me. ugh. messy. One morning I just let him have at his applesauce. He got it all over of course, but it didn't bother me so much that day. It turned out to be nice hair gel for him.

I love how he looks in his stocking hat. We got to go on a few stroller walks this week. It was really fun walking with our little family(including Truman) and enjoying the beautiful place we get to live in.

Driving home from my mom and dad's, Jared put on the song "seminole wind" by John Anderson. Anyone? It is a terrible song in my opinion, old, and very twangy. Very not his style. He sang it at the top of his lungs. I laughed and rolled my eyes. It made me smile. I love him.

My mom and sister came down for a surprise visit. We went to lunch and the mall. Grandma Vickie played with Graham while Katie and i shopped a little. It was such a simple thing, but for some reason meant so much that day. It was nice to be taken care of, instead of the one taking care of..know what I mean?

Graham get this full on giggle, belly laugh whenever Papi does the buggy wuggy game. It is SO hilarious, and addicting. He pretends he is going to tickle him and Graham loves it! He really laughs so hard that he falls over. Loved that laughter at their house for Grandma Connies birthday.

Mental memories can only last so long right, better that I put them down.

The palest ink is greater than the best memory.

Basketball Baby!

This kid is ready for the game! Or games..Jared has started helping coach at SLCC. He was given a great opportunity to be an assistant, and he loves it. I love seeing him so happy when he comes home from the gym. Jared played a year at SLCC before he went to Seattle Pacific, and I think its neat that he gets to coach at his old school with his old coach. He practices a couple days a week, and then we go to home games. Graham has got his Bruin colors on, and really just likes a new place to explore.

Jared actually had two games this weekend. It was the Alumi weekend, so he was playing after the SLCC/SNOW game. SLCC won by the way, and Jared lost his game in overtime. Graham was a pretty good boy, especially concidering the two games. He ate almost an entire jumbo hot dog for dinner! He's an eater I tell ya. He even watched a little bit of the game

Papi and Grandma Connie game to both games too. Thank you! It helps Graham last longer. We tried to get some good pictures with Grandma, but Graham kept putting the phone in front of his face. I liked this one though.
Go Bruins!

Things that I need to write down about Graham

I love reading other people's blogs. Especially when they inspire me, and give me good ideas. As Graham gets older, I forget to write down some of the little things that he does, that I know I will LOVE to look back on. So this list is for ME, feel free to read along if you want.

* Graham loves to dance and bob his head to music, or anything with a beat. He HAS to have an ipod if he sees it, and lOVES them.

* Loves yogurt and eggo waffles for breakfast.

* Will really eat just about anything. He is farely partial to healthy items as opposed to sweet things(no matter how hard his Grandma Marge or Papa try:()

* He does like ice cream

* On New Years he ate shrimp and prime rib..not kidding.

*He is a great eater, but he will let you know when he is done by shaking his head back and forth OVER and OVER.

* He likes holding on to Truman and walking around behind him.

* He loves horses, and makes the "heee" sound anytime he sees one.

* He is really into books now, and I'm so glad. He will bring you several, each one at a time. He will let you read a few pages, and then he is on to the next one.

* He still loves baths with his dad.

* He pulls everything out of the cupboards, and is into everything! We call him the "mess maker".
* He definetly has a mind of his own.
* He mimics what we say and do.
-yesterday he got the lint roller out and tried to roll his pajamas.
*He loves his tags on his blankets and always puts his thumb in his mouth when he sees them.
*He says "hi five"
* He is a good snuggler in the mornings.
*He loves to go up and down the stairs, especially at Grandmas.
*He somehow always ends up turing on the Xbox.
*He also loves helping me with the dishwasher
He wears mostly 18 month old clothes, and size 3 diapers.
These are all for now. I'm just happy to just have a new blog post up. I've been really bad about taking pictures and posting.

nothing new..

You would think that since I haven't posted in a while, that I would have lots to share..WRONG. We have been a sick household for about a week. Its no fun having a sick kid, let alone being sick yourself. We started off 2011 with a bang right?:)
