6 weeks old

Its so late, but I wanted to wish my little boy a happy 6 week old birthday. I can't believe how fast he is growing and changing. I feel like one of those elderly people who constantly say, "they grow up so fast". He is the light in our days, and is truely joy sent from Heaven. It is funny how easily you adapt to being a parent. I mean, of course Im exhausted and am missing some sleep but he makes me feel so blessed and happy that it is hard to put into words. A mothers love truely is something you have to experience to understand. It also puts into perspective how my parents must feel about me..crazy.

I love you little Grahamo more than you know, and hopefully show you that everyday. I'm so glad you got to come live with us, and everyday is better than the next. I love being your mom, and will always try my best to be the best mom I can be. Thank you for your cute little neck kisses, and little smiles when i tickle the side of your face. I love your little chins, and chubby leg meat. Please stop growing up so fast, and always know how much your dad and i love you.
love, mom

Thanks Grandma Vickie and Papa for this little piece of Yellowstone..gotta start em young.

Grahamio, why are you growing so fast?! Your mom and I promised each other that we would enjoy what and who you are everyday; we promised each other we wouldn't say the words "I can't wait until he can..."; we thought that would make the time we have with you last a little longer each day, but it's not working! Everyday with you is a treat. The faces you make, the way you put your hands up by your head when you sleep, the way you squeeze our fingers as you fall asleep as if to say don't leave...all of that is so precious to us. We hardly ever put you down (we can't stand to) & when we do, we only talk about when we can pick you up and hold you again. We love you so much! I wish you could see all that your mom does to make you happy and well. She would do anything for you and has already went through so much to get you here and I know that she doesn't regret it. We both love you little buddy and hope you always know it!
Love, Dad

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Its been snowing and blowing here now for a few days, and schools are officially shutting down today. Its so interesting how things work when these storms hit. People literally just stay home, and things stop. They go to the grocery store, clean out the shelves and stay put until it clears. I can't blame them, since most of the time the roads are closed and they can't go anywhere. The wind is the worst. Jared has a beast of a snowblower, and takes good care of our driveway, and is a nice enough guy to help out some others in need. It seems weird that Utah will seem mild:) Future GQ Man We are growing...3 stockings now

Could these be any cuter??

Growing Grahamo

Our little boy is growing like a weed! I can't say that I like it very much at all. He is now five weeks old, and filling out quite nicely..hes going to be a chubbo for sure! I can't believe what a sweet boy he is. He has been having a few tummy aches which make for longer nights, but seems to be feeling better(thanks to the gas drops). He is a happy, content boy most of the time, and is an eater. Graham liked church this week a little better, and so did we:) Im so blessed that I get to stay home with him. We have been hunkered down due to the lovely WY weather, and I havent minded one bit.

I'm hoping that he will get a little better at sleeping longer during the night. My dad says he has us trained..not too fun when I can barely keep my eyes open while im feeding him.
I met a new friend Sunday in the mothers lounge that told me to buy the book Baby Wise, which should help. Of course I went the next morning, and am implementing the "plan" today. Wish us luck!

He makes the cutest faces when he is almost asleep or when he is eating. We call it the "pirate eye". While he eats, he will kind of growl and keep one eye open. So funny! We are so excited to go home for Christmas, and to have everyone meet him, one week!

Happiness

I don't really have anything in particular to post about, but just wanted to put up some really cute, random pictures that we have been taking. Graham is growing so fast, and has changed so much already. He gained 7oz in 5 days last week! Yes, he is a good eater, and we love that he is getting chubbier. He has now gone to two movies, and done a little shopping. We have been pretty protective of him, but are letting him get out just a little now. We even get to go to church tomorrow. We are loving our new little family, and are loving being together. It is so great to feel better, and back to my normal self. I feel truly happy, content, and blessed.

Thanksgiving Party for 3

Our favorite nurse Sally, who we went to vistit on Thanksgiving.

Gotta bundle up in Cheyenne

He sleeps with his mouth open sometimes like his mama

Jared's new, wonderful, lovely car. Jared works for Takeda Pharmaceuticals, a wonderful company that supplies him with w a new car every 60,000 miles. With as much as he travels, he should be seeing a variety of vehicles.

Blue is his color. Although, we think he looks good in everything.

Im tired, but a very happy tired mama.

He has started to suck on his fist a little bit

Cutest little boy in the world!

Bath Time

He loves being in the bath. Nice and warm. He just sits very still, and relaxes.

Just wanted to get a few bath pictures up, while Graham was sleeping. Its hard to put him down, so I'm really not getting much done. Im soaking up all the snuggle, sleep with mom time I can.
Here are a few of the first bath time picts, and a few random adorable ones.

Happy Fake Thanksgiving

Papa was pretty worn out after the long snowy drive..but it was all worth it:)

We wont be going home for Thanksgiving this year, so we decided to have our own little pre-Thanksgiving here at our house. My dad, mom, stace, and kate all came out to meet Graham and to humor me with the Thanksgiving feast early:) Graham had a "1st Thanksgiving" little outfit complete with turkey gobble gobble socks.. so cute! My family hit a storm coming out (gotta love Wyoming weather) and it was torture waiting for them to get here to meet Graham. Jared and I kinda like showing him off, and cant wait for everyone to meet him.

We had a delicious meal, and a great time. It was too short of course and we wished we all lived closer to one another, but it was so fun for Graham to meet some more of his family. Thanks so much for coming!

Two Weeks Already??

Happy 2 week birthday my little boy! We cant believe how fast the time has gone by, and how blessed we are to have you in our family. You have grown so much already, and I swear you change everyday..slow down already. You had your first doctors appointment today, and you are one healthy boy. You weigh seven pounds now, and are growing and doing very well. You have two very proud parents who love you so much. It seems like you are filling out a little bit more in your cute chubby little face, sorry looks like you have your mamas cheeks:) You are so strong, and move your little head and neck all over. You really hate having your bum and clothes changed. Your dad is a speed racer at getting this done, but mom is a little slower. We cant get enough of you, and rarely put you down. Who knows how many pictures we have taken, and cant wait to take a million more. You have about a 3 hour cycle both day and night. Very rarely do you fuss or cry, only when hungry or in need of a diaper change.

I feel so blessed and privledged to be your mom. I hope you always know how much I love you. I cant believe how perfect you are. I truely feel like Heavenly Father sent us an angel. I love you little Grahamo.

love, mom

Graham Brett Moultrie

This is our perfect little angel. He had quite the time getting here, but finally arrived via c section Novemeber 2 at 11:51 pm. He was 17 days early. We are so in love with him, we cannot believe it. We keep saying "isnt he so cute?" to everyone and anyone. We are so so blessed to have such a healthy beautiful baby (especially with all those meds I was on during pregnancy:))

We were originally scheduled to be induced Oct 29, but the worst storm in ten years decided to blow into town, snowing our doctor in, and moving us to delivery a few days later. We think this really was a blessing because my mom was able to be there in the hospital and Gma Connie and Gpa Brett (Papi) were able to drive safetly shortly after. Our wonderful doctor who has seen us just about every week the entire time, Dr Eskam, was able to deliver Graham and take great care of us.

We arrived at the hospital around 7:30 very excited and anxious. We needed an amnio test to make sure his lungs were all developed before we could proceed. When they did the ultrasound, there was not enough fluid to even take the test..telling us that Graham was ready to come now.

We started the inducement and I had some just lovely back labor which continued to get worse and worse. I threw up about every bad contraction toward the end, and my dear sweet wonderful husband had to hold my head up and hold the puke bucket. Still not dialating quickly enough, Dr Eskam suggested that I had an epideral. This was a horrible experience!! I screamed out "holy s&%#" and "s&%#" quite a few times. I didnt think it would hurt that bad, and I kept hoping that the needle wouldn't paralyze me. With the epideral not really working like they want, so they double it up and I got so sick! My body does not do well with medicine, obviously. So a little while later, after jared had asked the nurse why I was acting like a crazy person, and still dialated to 4 cm, Dr. Eskam suggested a c section....

Yes, I was the person who skipped reading up on the c section parts in the book because I didn't think i would ever need one (bad idea, read up on them). It was quite the weird experience being strapped down and feeling strange pulling and tugging on your stomach. I kept asking if Graham was ok, and then I heard that wonderful cry :) Jared was by my side the whole time telling me everything was ok, and that he was beautiful. He was so excited, and when they brought him over to me, i couldn't help but be overwhelmed with joy and relief that everything was ok. Jared went off with Graham to the nursery and was just so excited, and happy. I could not ask for a better partner in life, I am so blessed to have him, and cannot even express how much I love him, and how grateful I am for him. Graham loved his bath, and Jared got to help out. Doctor Eskam did sneak Gma Vickie in the nursery to see him.
We had such great helpers come for a few days, and honestly could not have been more happy for their company and especially for their help. Thanks so much for coming Gma Vickie, Gma Connie, Papi, Gma Marge and Pam, we loved every minute!

We have already taken a million pictures, and thus giving our second child (if there is one) no hope of having as many pictures as Graham..poor middle child, he will be like Jared and I.

Plenty of pictures to come...again I'm new at the blog thing, so cut me some slack on all the fancy stuff for a while!

Graham Is Here!!

However hard the last 8+ months have been, today was something totally different. Let's just say it wasn't the smoothest day. The day was really long--not nearly as long as the rest of the pregnancy obviously, but still very long--it was also emotionally exhausting, disappointing at times, boring, painful, and a million other difficult things that we don't need to detail. HOWEVER, at the end of the day at 11:51 pm, 2 Nov 2009, we got the most precious, sweet, beautiful little baby boy we could have ever dreamed of. Graham is finally here and we're so excited! Impossible to describe the feelings that you have when you see your child for the first time. Wow! There are certainly a lot more pictures to come, but this is a good start...

Good Cheyenne & Bad Cheyenne

this is a classic case of good cheyenne, bad cheyenne. at the beginning of october it snowed...more than a foot! it was horrible. to our surprise though, within the next couple days it was back in the upper 60's, the snow was melted and we were hustling to take this picture of our house & "good cheyenne" (you can see some of the left over snow at the bottom right of the picture). so we went to utah for about 8 days, then came back home to cheyenne and heard the bad news: it was going to snow again! geez, really?! yes, really...we're dealing with it now! "bad cheyenne" is the picture on bottom, we took it last night. it's about twice as bad tonight! oh well...at least we get to meet little graham-o tomorrow...we hope!

Graham's 34 Week Old Face

well hello graham's face! we were excited going into the ultrasound...that was then ;) it was still fun to see his little face and some of his body parts, but much of the ultrasound was us waiting to see him "practice breathing" and it not happening...darn it. he's doing good though; they did some extra tests to make sure he was good and everything seemed fine. in the ultrasound, when the tech showed us this picture of his face she told us it was smushed up on the outside of his little home for now. we like this picture because it looks like he's smiling...probably laughing at us because he was being stubborn and not showing us how he practices breathing while we waited for a long long time! we're getting closer to seeing him for real and we can't wait! can't wait to have all of our family, loved ones and friends meet him as well

Little Graham at 22 Weeks

this is graham at 22 weeks...look at that little beast! it was so exciting to see him; we couldn't get enough. he gave us a nice little shot of his manhood (or little-baby-boy-hood), but it's inappropriate blog content if you know what i mean. he was pretty active, moving around a lot in the ultrasound. we really like this shot though, because that's what he's doing...holding his follow-through for his jump shot (duh, can't you tell). we have another ultrasound tomorrow which is very exciting! i guess we won't get any more full body shots though because this little beast is so big now. can't wait to see him--maybe we'll get a good face shot! we'll see...
