Week full of Gratitude

We had a great Thanksgiving! KC, Jes, and the girls came all the way from California for the entire week. They even made the ten-hour drive!! We now know it can be done, and its our turn next:) We had a week full of basketball, workouts, shopping, cousins playing, and food, of course. Its not only fun having KC here to play with Jared, but having Jes here is an added BONUS for me! It really was great having a workout partner and friend 24/7. The girls and Graham got along great! He is a lot older than the last time they saw him, and a lot more durable. Graham just followed them around, and loved the attention. They took turns on his birthday train. I don't know why I didn't take more pictures throughout the week, so all I have is Thanksgiving day. It was a combined effort from everyone. Thanks Connie and Jess for all of your hard work. Oh, and a special shout out to the roll lady, Katie.

The lovely Cali couple were a little cold this trip. They are used to temps in the 70's

My 1st pumpkin pie...it was a hit:)

Katie needed a place to make her rolls, and darnit she had to use our house..he he. She is quite the roll maker, and these might have been her best yet. I love that Jordans family lives in Kaysville. It brings Katie down for a visit with us, whenever she visits her in-laws.

We are truely, truely blessed. Life gets so hectic, and even hard sometimes that it can be easy to get lost in it. Thanksgiving gives us the opportunity to re-prioritize, and to acknowlege where our blessing come from, and just how many we have. I'm grateful for that.

1 year old

We got some 1year shots done for Graham a few weeks ago, and just got a few back. I LOVE them! Jared said we could even do a family session every year it was so painless. I cant believe she was able to get Graham and Truman to hold still long enough to get any shots, let alone several. I sure am in love with my boys. These pictures make me smile, and very happy to be a mama and wife. Truman might even get a little extra love because he just looks so cute..maybe.:)

Ramblings just to have a new post..

I think I need a new project. I was thinking about p90x again, but not really wanting to have to commit entirely to something like that. Funny thing about me though is that I'm better when I set a strict goal. For some reason, if I start something, MOSt of the time I have to finish it.
Maybe I need to start a new good book. Winter is coming, and I'm not sure what I'm going to do during my "outside walking time" with Graham and Truman. I don't really like walking Truman when its cold or rainy, yuck!
I have been improving my culinary skills lately. I have been quite the baker/chef, which I really enjoy..but I need something else. hmmmm...
I just got called to be in the Young Womens, which will be fun. I'm a beehive advisor. This means, I get to teach which I really like.
I guess I'm just trying to be my best self, and feel as though I can always be doing something more. Does anyone ever feel like that? I dont feel like I have a whole lot of sitting around time, but still feel as though I could be doing something else. I think I'm having some pre-seasonal depression:)
Graham has been a sick little boy all day, which makes me feel yucky, maybe thats why I have the bla's. Jared is at his basketball game. The Jazz beat the Heat, impressive. Tuesday nights Dancing With The Stars are always Lame, just tell us the results.
ok, enough rambling..guess I'll try to go to bed.
The end.

Never grow up..

I love this song from Taylor Swift's new album. I think about Graham everytime I hear it. He is 1 year old today. I have been lucky enough to have been able to nurse him for this entire time. My goal was a year, and as it comes to a close..I can't help but be a little sad. I will miss our sweet, little time together. I will hold on to the "little memories" because he is getting bigger everyday.

(this album is SO good by the way)

Your little hand's wrapped around my finger And it's so quiet in the world tonight
Your little eyelids flutter cause you're dreaming
So I tuck you in, turn on your favorite night light
To you everything's funny, you got nothing to regret
I'd give all I have, honeyIf you could stay like that

Oh darling, don't you ever grow up Don't you ever grow up, just stay this little
Oh darling, don't you ever grow up Don't you ever grow up, it could stay this simple
I won't let nobody hurt you, won't let no one break your heart
And no one will desert you
Just try to never grow up, never grow up

Happy Birthday Graham, we love you so much.

Pics to come of our Birthday adventures..we are off to the zoo!
