Happy Birthday...to me!

Holy Moly Im 27 years old! I had one of the best birthdays ever Friday! The birthday celebration started with a few packages from my mom&dad, sisters, and Grandma on Wednesday. I forgot to take some picts, but I was so excited. They sent stuff for Graham too, which was half the fun. Since I am finally getting back to a normal size, clothes are becoming fun again, and thats what I got. Thanks SO much everybody for the great presents! Loved them all!
Friday morning the day got started off with Jared singing, a diet coke, and an egg mcmuffin(no cheese, no butter) Perfect! We went to Fort Collins, after Jared got done with work, and there I got a 90 minute massage at Massage Envy(a Valentines gift from Jared). We then went to shop a little,( J Crew of course) and found some cute stuff. Graham was on his best behavior, and Jared was being so sweet and patient:) We had some lunch, shopped a little bit more, and headed home.
Later that night we went to the Mall just for fun, and found an awesome sale at Dilliards, and got Jared some new pants. Got the cake to go, came home and watched Couples Retreat.
Thanks Sweet for a perfect day! I love you so much, and am the luckiest 27 year old I know.

Jared got me this necklace, which Im totally in love with (he only had a little help from me:)) You like?

We went to one of my favorite places for lunch..Biaggis, and had the most wonderful HUGE Chicken salad yummy! We walked around the shopping center, which is like gateway in Salt Lake for a while and had a great time in the nice 50 sunny weather!

Jared surprised me with a little shopping spree..and here is where we went..found some cute stuff! Thanks sweet!Perfect ending to a perfect day..had to have some chocolate moulten cake from chilis..mmmm...totally worth the calories.

The next day we went out to eat with a couple of our great friends. I took a picture, but it was pretty brutal of all of us, so I saved us all the embarrasment and didnt post it. Thanks Lindsey&Nephi, Mark and Chels. It was so fun to celebrate with you. Lindsey even made me chocolate cupcakes with cream cheese frosting:)

Ready already???

Yum...

Yum...

Yummy!

Our little baby boy is officially eating cereal now. I can't believe how big he is. I had to put some of his clothes away that don't fit anymore yesterday, and I started to tear up. Good grief, can't imagine what a mess I'll be when he goes to pre-school! He did really well with his first go round. He weighs at least 15 lbs now, we find out the exact weight next week at his 4 month appointment. He hasnt' been sleeping well at all lately, and I thnk he is just a big boy and needs some more food. Hopefully this will help him sleep better:)
This week he has a bad cold, and its been brutal! I don't think the whole house has slept much at all. Augh! Im exhausted, and frustrated. Today has seemed just a litte better, I hope he is on the up swing. He still has been eating his cereal at night pretty good, but it hasn't helped his sleeping through the night much at all. Poor little stuffed up guy..hope he feels better soon.

Trip to Utah

Whenever Jared has to work in Rock Springs, we head home to Utah for the weekend. We are very lucky to get to go home so often, even though the drive is no fun. Graham especially had a hard time in the hotel this go round..worst night ever! We stayed at Papi and Grandma Connies a little bit and had a great time. I got my hair done at the salon, my favorite! They all got to hit a few balls at the golf course, and we just enjoyed some great family time being together. (the only picture we remembered to take at their house is below..I can never figure out how to move the pictures once they are downloaded..drives me crazy!)
It always goes by too fast whenever we go home..trying to visit everyone and cram all the stuff we want to do into 2 or so days. Here are just a few pictures from our weekend. Thanks everyone for everything, we love coming home!

We spent Valentines Day at my mom and dads in Paradise. My mom got Graham these balloons, which he loved watching. I woke up early with him(because he is such a crappy sleeper lately) and took some funny balloons shots. This shot reminds me of the movie, UP.

Sleeping on the plane

This past weekend we were lucky enough to fly to California to visit Jareds brother's family. We had a great time! It was Grahams first flight, and he did amazingly well. We had a layover on the way there in Salt Lake, and also on the way back. I made sure he was sucking on something during takeoff and landing, and I think his ears were fine. He either slept, ate, or played quietly the whole time..we were so happy! The airport experience went great as well. All in all, the traveling was a pleasant surprise. Good job buddy! People kept telling us how big and cute he was (never got sick of hearing that).
We had so much fun just speanding time with everyone. The girls were so great with Graham. Gabi calls him baby Graham and wants to kiss and love on him all the time. Olivia is my best helper. She is so calm and sweet with him. She loves to hold him, and help me with anything he needs. He was kind of a little fuss muss though which was hard, I think he was a little out of his element. He seemed to get a little better as the days went on.
Jared and KC got to play plenty of ball, and I got to tag along with Jess to workout. It was so great! We went to this new Cardio Barre class that literally kicked my butt, but so fun! We went out to eat, and shopped a little. Played some Mario, which was hilarious..apparently we all get into that game. I absolutely LOVED their house. It is a gorgeous house, the layout is my favorite, and Jess has it decorated so cute! They live in a beautiful area, and we loved visiting! Thanks so so much KC and Jess for letting us come and invade your space. We love and miss you so much!

12 weeks old!

Here is the latest, greatest, and chubbiest of Graham. He is so chubbo, and long too! We measured him today, and he came in at a whopping 24 in! Our scale isnt really realiable but it read about 14 lbs. He has been such a good boy lately, even though if he is tired, just forget about it..fussy to say the least.

Ive been getting into the blogging world a little more lately. I'm excited to make a book after a year of posts to have as a scrapbook/log of our lives. I also have found these great new blogs and ideas from stay at home moms like me. Its nice to be learning new things, and learning how to use my time differently..still not gonna get too crafty lets be honest, but there are some things I'm excited to try.
My mom said he could be a model..I told her his birthmark on his head made him original and unique too...she said yeah like Cindy Crawford:)

Thanks to Jess and KC for the bumbo..its purple because the girls had it prior, but we think it is just great, and so far Graham has liked it.

Happy twelve weeks old buddy! You are sure getting to be a big boy! This picture makes you look like such a little boy. I can't believe how fast you are changing, and how wonderful you are. I don't know of anything better in the world than when you give me a big jack o lattern smile..I smile right back at you filled with pure happiness. I love spending all day with you, and feel very very blessed to be able to. You really like looking at lights right now, and are enjoying the play yard. Bath time with dad is still your favorite, and you smile when you splash your chubby little arms. You slept through the night for the first time this week, only once but hey at least once right?

We are working on your rolling over skills, they are coming along. You also can reach up and touch things with your hands...sometimes.

Everyone always tells your dad and I how cute and chubby you are. People love your cheeks, and say that you are so beautiful. I completely agree and think that you are the most precious little boy ever. You also like taking rides with mom in the car, and have been a better boy at church. You go to priesthood with Dad, and have been good for him two weeks in a row!

In your room there is a quote on the wall by Walt Whitman that reads.....

A child went forth and became what he saw.

I hope to, and will strive to show you all the wonderful things in the world my little boy. I want you to learn about and know your Heavenly Father and big brother Jesus Christ. I hope for you a stong, unwaivable testimoney of the Gospel. I want you to always know how much your Dad and I love you, and how we only want the very best for you. I want to only show you good examples through my actions, and will try my very best for you everyday. I will try to teach examples of service, patience, and understanding. This quote is a reminder for us that you are always watching. You are such a special spirit Graham, and I hope you know that we will do our best to treat you as such. I want to be your best friend forever, even when you're a teenager:)

Love you,
Mom

Mario Time

Wii Mario has infiltrated our lives. The songs are in my head, my husband dreams about new strategies to take over the castles, and ways that he can find all 3 big gold coins. It really is a great game, one that I will actually play with him...and I feel myself being pulled in to the luigi mayhem. I take the co-pilot seat and we head through the crazy worlds of mario-land.

We can get quite wrapped up in this game. We cuss at the screen, at the dumb little flying turtles, and I HATE HATE HATE the purple fish in the horrible water land! I will literally bang the remote down on the couch when I make a stupid move. Jared has conquered the game, and now is perfecting his game tactics. He is pretty good i must admit..he and Mario spend plenty of quality time together when I go to bed. He is sort of like my coach guiding me through the desert, fire castles, and the bullet-boat. I love following my Mario(except when he jumps on my head).

Its a fun way to do something together besides just watching TV. The graphics are awesome, and it is just like the original...only with a huge upgrade. If anyone needs any special hints or secret ways to get lives, contact Jared he is the master. I think the musical score of old school video games actually helps Graham sleep longer:)
I thought I better post about what weve been doing..and Mario is it.
