Laughing with Grandma

I took this video during our last trip to Utah. Graham thought Grandma Vickie was just hilarious. I took my camera out a little late..he had been laughing a lot hard earlier, but still caught his little laugh and squeel. Ive been thinking a lot about what a great Grandma my mom is lately. She is so sweet, loving, and very patient. She is also one of the most thoughtful people I know(she is very good at the details). It is so nice when we are at her house. She wants to hold him, take him on walks around the house, and play with him almost as much as me:) She has always been a great mom, but it is interesting how much more I appreciate it now, because it has rolled over into her great Grandma-ness. We still haven't left Graham for more than an hour with anyone except my mom. I just feel like she will love him and take care of him as I would..and that makes it a little, just a little easier to leave. Grandma Vickie always sends Graham stuff in the mail, and is always picking him up little surprises. He might not fully understand/appreciate it now, but I sure do. She makes Graham feel like he is #1..or so it seems to me. Its such an amazing thing to see your child being loved. It I hope that I have gotten just a few of her wonderful attributes and strive to be a mother like she is.

Thanks Mom/Grandma Vickie for taking such good care of us! We love you very much.

Denver Nuggets

We spent Saturday afternoon and evening down in Denver with some of our good friends Mark and Chelsea. They had some extra Nuggets tickets and asked if we wanted to go, and we gladly accepted. We haven't spent much time in Denver yet, and we both have been itching to get down there. We headed out early afternoon and did some shopping at the 16th street mall. It was fun just to walk up and down the street and people watch. We have lived in pretty big cities since we've been married..Seattle and Salt Lake..Its funny how quickly you get used to where you are. Man, there are some crazies down there. We were feeling a little out of our Cheyenne, Wyoming element. We hit up Niketown and brought Grahamio the cutest little shoes, and Jared found a great pair of shorts. It was fun to get out and see the city. We ran out of time and cut our shopping short and headed over to the area.
Graham was such a good little boy. He didn't seem to mind his ear muffs at all. Everyone was eating him up in his little Jordan gear. One man told him to get in the game, they needed some help..so cute! We had great seats, and a great time. Jared even got him to sleep by the magic shake( jared holds him in his arms this certain way that he has loved since he was a week old). Nuggets lost to the Spurs, but we sure enjoyed watching the game and taking Graham to his 1st of many games yet to come. Thanks so much Mark and Chels!

When we put Graham up to the fake nuggets player, everyone said, "oohhh"

Swimmer Boy

On our way home from the two week extravagansa(is that how you spell that?), We got stuck in Green River for an extra day due to road closures. Already stir crazy, we decided to hit the pool for Grahams 1st swimming experience. Well, the pool was so cold that his little gums chattered and he wanted out pretty quick. I did at least get a few cute picts to capture the moment. We will try again Grahamio in warmer water!

Family

We did get to spend just a little time with Connie and Brett..they had been on a cruise, so we missed them for most of the time. We have a new game that I even enjoyed playing..Dominos. loved it! We had a great time as always. Graham got to hang out with the boys, while Connie and I got Pedis..what could be better?

Aunt Stacie can make Graham laugh just about everytime he sees her. Its so fun watching them talk to each other. She came up for the weekend, so we even got to spend some time with her! Thanks for my clothes Aunt Stace! We love you.

Easter continued..

Just a few more picts from Easter weekend...

Hoppy Easter

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. The whole day is a great combination of fun, festivities, and family. We were at my mom and dads this year. The snow didnt stop us from hunting for baskets or eggs. I think Grandma Vickie and I had more fun with Graham's baskets than he did, but he made out like a bandit! We had lunch at Grandma Marges and passed around a basket of eggs due to the wonderful winterwonderland outside. We did however, have the money hunt later that afternoon. We did ok..Stace was the big winner this year, but there is always next year. The Easter Bunny brought Jared a new tennis hopper, we can't wait to test it out! Thanks for such a great Easter everyone.

3 weeks to catch up on...

What a crazy 3 weeks it has been! We are back in Cheyenne, and its sure feels good to be home! Jared has been all over the place.. Chicago, Wyoming, and Utah. Graham and I spent our time in Utah. Jared had to spend a week in Chicago for work, and then a week in Central Wyoming, so we decided to head to Utah for a long visit. We sure missed Jared, but luckily he was able to come visit us on the weekends. We have gotten pretty good at talking on the phone throughout our relationship, and I felt like we were dating again. It was so nice to be home longer than just a day or two. Graham got to be around family on a daily basis, which was so fun to see. He just loved everyone up, and was such a good boy! It was so nice to watch him be loved so much, and to show him off. I am one pround mama.

Jared turned 27 on March 27th. Thank goodness he was able to come to Utah so we could celebrate it together. KC and Marshall were in town for the Elite Eight, and they all got to go to a game..a great game(Butler vs. Kansas State). Jared said it was one of the best games hes ever been to. We had a fun day, they got their basketball in at the church, and Graham and I got to watch. We had a quiet, relaxing night with some take-out cafe rio. SO GOOD! It was nice to just to be together after a week apart. Happy Birthday Sweet, we love you so much!
