Fun Night with Papi and Grandma Connie

We went over to Brett and Connies for dinner tonight. We had a great time, and it was so nice to spend some time together. Dinner was great! Steak Carnitas Tacos, and Strawberry shortcake scone dessert..I'm still full! Graham was too busy to be bothered with his dinner, but somehow found some room for dessert:)

This one of Grandma Connie is at our house, but we didn't get any of her tonight, and this is such a sweet pic.

Yummy!!

Thanks Papi and Grandma for a great night!

Lately

This kid LOVES being outside! We have had some good days lately and some colder ones, but I don't think Graham can tell the difference. He loves playing in the dirt, walking around the backyard, and playing on the deck. If it is outside he wants to be a part of it. We put on his "dirt shoes" and head out. I think he would stay out there all day if we would let him. Its so cute watching him walk, stubble-run out the back. He will stubble, look at his hands, then brush them off and keep going.
The only negative part of all of this is that when you bring him back in, he loses it. His mind, literally. He throws a huge fit. It he hears the door open he runs for it. He also loves trucks lately. Anytime he sees one, or even hears one, he says,"truck, truck, truck". Can't wait for some grass instead of dirt to play on! We went up to my mom and dads when Jared had to work in Logan again. I took my camera and snapped a few shots so I'd have something to post:)
Why is that vein in my neck bulging out so bad?

Truman loves Katie, and Katie humors Truman. She does act like she likes him though. This was so funny..Truman wouldn't leave her side. She kept taking steps back and he would move his bum to be touching her somehow. It must have been her Village Inn aroma he couldn't get enough of:) Love ya Kate!

Graham lights up whenever he sees Grandma Vickie, and has gotten used to going up to her house. He loves Grandma Marge, but doesn't necessarily love her to hold him. He can't be bothered to hold still that long. Grandma Marge has come up everytime we come to visit since Graham was born. I'm not kidding! She is such an amazing person. I hope you know Grandma, how much those visits mean not only to Graham, but to me as well. We love you. We love you too mom:)
I don't know why it feels like we've been so busy lately, but it sure does. I can't really pinpoint our busyness, all I know is at 8 oclock I'm pooped and feel like its the first time I've sat down all day.

Proof to myself that I have had happy pregnancy days

So this past Friday we found out that we are pregnant! I know, I know I never thought I'd do it again. And NO I didn't forget about the last one. Trust me, I remember every little, horrible, tortureous moment of it. Ugh, makes my stomach churn just thinking about it, not to mention the anxiety. It really was the hardest, darkest time of my life, 9 months of my life!! Thats a LONG time!! We started getting the feeling that maybe it was time to expand our little family a few months back. We both thought it was early, and thought we would ask Heavenly Father what he thought..of course he thought it was time:) I had my IUD taken out, and one month later we were pregnant. Guess it was time:)

I was one day late, and couldn't take the waiting. Just for curiousity's sake I bought a pregnancy test. I had butterflys in my stomach all the way home from the store. I came home, took the test, came in the kitchen to wait my 3 minutes, and there it was..that lovely solid pink line. It was so much darker than with Graham. No faint line this time. I ran downstairs, woke Jared up from his nap and showed him the stick. We were both so happy and excited!! Not telling anyone was killing us! We want to wait as long as we can.

This is supposed to be a positive post for me to look back on in 7 weeks when I'm puking and miserable. I feel so great right now! Really, I am going about my every day life. Nothing feels different yet, and I pray for it to stay that way numerous times daily. I work out normally, eat normally, and even sleep good (because Graham is). I realize I am very lucky, and am trying to be positive. I also realize that I'm really only 5 weeks or so along, so the torture is yet to come, or so they say. Im savoring this happy time. Jared has never seen me as a happy, healthy pregnant woman. Its been such a fun week.

We joke around about a little "grahamina" in my belly and are definetly giddy about a new baby on the way. Its exciting, and scary. I've been reading as usual, and I can worry with the best of them, at the same time I also feel a lot more relaxed this time. I realize this is because we've done it all before, and there is comfort in that. We have the doctor all lined up, and I think she will be great. She is Jared's Aunts doctors who has been through anything, and everything with her pregnancies.

I feel so blessed, and again, nervous. I just keep praying for healthy mom and baby! New baby should arrive right around Graham's old due date. November 18th. Haven't been to the doc yet, so its not official, its just babycenter.

Road Trip!

Last week we spent the majority of the week in Idaho. We decided to head up with Jared for work, and then the region 18 basketball tournament. We started our trip out in Idaho Falls. We had a great view from our hotel of the beautiful temple. We went to dinner at The Olive Garden, and were feeling really great about our "vacation". Sometime around bedtime that night, our minds slowly started to change. Graham wasn't really too excited about going to sleep in his crib, or necessarily with us. All I can say about that night is that when I woke up the next morning, (guess I must have got some sleep) I was glad it was over!

We worked on our way to Twin Falls, making a lovely stop in American Falls. And by lovely I mean, try not to stop at this place. We made it to Twin Falls in time for a first round game. We won. The best part of this day was that while driving around(only way Graham would take a nap) I had the nicest man DELIVER five guys to my car so that Graham could stay asleep!! Yup, only in Twin Falls, Idaho.

We again, didn't get much sleep the next night, and the trip starts to get fuzzy here for me. We were busy and tired. SLCC went on to win, and make it to the championship game. We went to Shoshone Falls the last day to pass the time while waiting for the 7:30 PM game! Its always fun to be around the team. It reminds me of when we lived in Seattle. Graham was very tired at this point, and didnt really love the misting.

Patrick and Steve are Grahams two favorite guys on the team. They are so cute with him. Steve is pretty tall and sometimes Graham looks at him like "woa".
Graham really was a pretty good boy considering all the driving and basketball. He doesn't look too happy in this pic, but I think he had a pretty good time.

SLCC lost their last game to CSI. It was a sad game. They are an up and down team. They can be great, and they can be not so great. Its fun to take Graham to the games, and have him find his dad out on the court or on the bench. He always finds him, points, and says "da da". He is always moving, and sometimes its a battle. We are happy watching Daddio be happy:) We drove home after the game, and arrived in Kaysville at around 1 AM! I've never been so happy to be home.
We had a great adventure, but can't wait to take a real vacation with adults only:) Saying that doesn't make me a bad mom does it?

Skudush!

As Master Oogway wisely states, The past is history, the future is a mystery, but today is a gift, that is why it is called THE PRESENT. This is what has been going on at our house. Graham LOVES this movie. It is the only thing he will watch. He especially enjoys watching it with his dad. He will stop whatever he is doing and focus in on some kung fu. It is so cute to watch him being "amazed" at the show. We say "panda" and he will grab his blanket and head to the couch. We have fallen in love with the characters, and I think Jared knows every line. Noodles? You were really dreaming about noodles?
