Grahams last of the 1st's

It was Grahams 1st Halloween, crazy as that seems. He will be turning 1 on Tuesday. There will be no more "1st onsies" I guess:) We had a great holiday. Jared even was a champ and got in on the festivities. We were the Dracula family for our Trunk or Treat. Count Grahamula, Count Barkula, and Mom and Dad Dracula.
We went up to Grandma Marges Saturday night for the big bash. Graham loved Rivers costume and kept trying to get to his face. He had a mummy dog and loved it! We had spraypainted Grahams hair on Friday, but decided we didn't need the mess two nights in a row.

Love this face, he was done toward the end of the night as you can tell.
Graham loves his cousin Autumn, and she is a very good tender.

Graham kept trying to pull off my feather eyelashes. When I came out all dressed up, even Jared was scared.

And the best part of Halloween...getting home and taking off all the makeup, clothes, and relaxing in the tub.

Journal Entry?

So, I've never really used this blog as a journal. Its definitely been more of a "photo blog" to say the least with a few captions here and there. I think this is because I feel like my thoughts are too personal, and why would anyone really care what I thought/was feeling. Well, this is MY blog so I am going to use it a little more freely for a journal type blog. I mean, in all honesty it will probably be like one every 20 photo posts, but hey I'm going to try. I print out my blog books for the year, and think it would be nice to have some of my thoughts down on paper.

Today for example.... I went out for a jog(the weather was so nice), and on my way back saw something very scary. I was about 3 blocks from home and I saw a police car pulling into our street. Its was in a big hurry, and I quickly blew it off to someone being pulled over. I then saw two more police vehicles drive in. I start hearing sirens and lights coming faster and faster. I then started to FREAK OUT. Jared had been home with Graham, and they had just been on a little Truman walk. My mind started racing of what could of happend to them, and I started sprinting. I'm not the quickest runner, im better at distance:) But I started to run as fast as I could. I started to get more and more worked up as I get closer. As I turned the corner and saw that the cars were NOT at my house, I started to tear up. By the time I ran in the garage and saw the stroller parked, I was crying pretty hard. Jared didnt answer at first, then I saw them on the back patio. I ran to him and just was so grateful that they were ok.

He apparently had the same thought at the same time. He kept hearing the sirens and as they got closer, and thought I had gone up on the road and been hurt. We were both really happy to see each other..safe.

Turns out a poor roofer had fallen and hit his head. Life-flight came and landed literally 30 yards from our house. Everyone was a little shaken up. There are only about 6 or 7 families in our neighborhood so far, and everyone has little kids running around. They thought the man would be fine, just doing all the necessary measures to make sure of it.

I again realized how unbelievably important my family is to me. Its amazing how you can feel so completed and dependant upon your family. I have never worried, loved, wanted to take care, be better for, worried, tried, put more into, worried for anyone more in my life than Jared and Graham. Its exhausting:) But I wouldn't have it any other way. I also have never had so much Joy in my life. Im so grateful for the relief I felt/feel knowing that they were/are ok.

Scary Hill..oooooh

We headed off to Cherry Hill, or Scary hill for October tonight for some family fun. Jared is so nice to put up with my nagging of wanting to "do more stuff". We didnt know what to expect, and ended up having a great time. Some of the things were too old for Graham so we opted for a game of mini golf. It was fun, and not only for Graham. I beat the boys this time:) I can't remember the last time I had been, but it really was kinda fun. We went to the pie pantry after for a little treat, and then went to Petsmart and found Truman a Halloween costume(you are gonna love it).

Jared is such a great dad. He is so sweet with Graham, and Graham absolutely loves his daddio. It sure doesn't get old hearing people say that he is his twin, because I hope he grows up to be just like him.

This little boy is going to be 1 in about two weeks. He is walking now, and jibber-jabbering all the time. He went on a long 4-wheeler ride last night up at Papas and loved it. He is sure growing up.

1st haircut!

Graham has had the lovely "mullet look" going on for quite some time now. Jared has been trying to convince me for months now that Graham needed his hair cut. We finally got it done yesterday just in time for his 1st year pics. Tawyna, Jared's aunt did it, and it turned out perfect. Graham didn't mind it at all, and he really like the lights and people at the salon. Its funny how much older it makes him look.

On another milestone note..he also took his 1st steps today!! Oh my gosh, he is growing up too fast, it makes me sad thinking about it..better just go to bed now so I don't have to dwell on how fast my little baby is growing up..goodnight.

boo!

Its always an adventure with this kid. Something as easy as putting on pajamas can turn into a photo op. SO cute, thanks for the pjs Grandma Vickie(they even glow in the dark). Graham is so full of life these days, so active, and so fun!

Official Residents

We are officially moved in! Halle frickin lejah! We have been in for almost two weeks, and are loving it. Internet is up, and we are back in action, yeah. The house is awesome, and things have been busy. It feels like we are finally getting a handle on everything. The yard is another story, we'll get to that next year. I love decorating, but am having a hard time finding some stuff that I want. The great room and entry are quite bare, but I've got big ideas:) We have put a few holes in the walls, and are feeling out different spots for different things.
The best part about this house, is that the first night it already felt like home. During this whole process, we have really felt like we were supposed to be here. I can see many happy memories being made in this, our new home.

1/2 bath

We got the basement finished and had all of the accents match the upstairs, and it looks great. The blinds are one of my favorite things in the whole house. Its so nice not having to find, buy, and install any window coverings, SO NICE!

View from the back porch. Yes, we know yard work is what we will be doing with ALL of our spare time. We are on 2/3 acre lot. Jared loved this house from the beginning. I couldn't see it when it was just wood walls, but I really am enjoying it now.

Laundy Room

Great room. We got this sectional at RC Willey. I had the best nap ever last week on this baby!

Master Bath

Kitchen, thanks Pam and Grandma for putting it all away for me. Why does the kitchen take just as long as the rest of the house to unpack?!

Grahams Bath..his room pics to come

Master Bath (this is the bed I refinished, Chels you would be so proud:)

Spare, you've got a place to stay, come visit please.

I'm so glad to get this post done. Does anyone else feel like its so easy to get behind on posting, and hates catching up?? Sometimes I feel like the blog is a "check off the list" thing to get done. So, Check. Done.
