Family Ties

Being back in Utah means lots of family activities, and we love it! Its so nice being able to be so close to everyone. We are still homeless, and are grateful for those who take us in, especially Brett and Connie who have let us move in until our house is finished. We spent last week with them in West Point, and checked on the house everyday. It looks beautiful, and should be move-in ready next week. Truman has a best friend to play with all the time, Pete, which makes not only him happy, but us as well. (This is Jared, don't forget about my dad, I think he and Truman are very good friends too!) Later this week, we headed up to Paradise. Katie had a bridal shower, and it was good ol' Trout and Berry Days.

This year was especially exciting. Grandma Marge was the Grand Marshall. Check her out on her four-wheeler as she leads the parade. She just makes me smile. She has more spunk and energy than I ever will!

Stacie and I got Katie a "special little number" which she just loved! You can tell by the blushed cheeks that she was very excited:)

My cousin Michelle made it up all the way from Vernal with her 3 kids by HERSELF! Man, I hate riding with screaming Graham in the car, let alone with 2 more! I learned I need to invest in some great earphones..which apparantly makes the ride much better.

Graham gave Lish a kiss right on the mouth when he saw her, open mouth in fact. Thanks for taking the slob Lish:)

I found this idea of a "milk and cookies" party while blog surfing and loved it! Ashley made it come to life, and went to a lot of work. I thought it turned out so cute, and everyone loved it.

We made it to Gateway for a little shopping trip, and dinner with Stace. Graham loved the water fountains, and I loved watching the two boys in my life.

Grandma Connie teaching Graham how delicious corn on the cob can be. He loved this, and gobbled on it for quite a while. So cute!

Here she is, the bride to be, in all her glory. We took her out for a little bachelorette dinner. She is getting married on the 10th! I can't believe it, and am so excited for her. I still think she is forever 17.

Moving and the Stitch

Graham was my packing buddy
Last shot at the Cheyenne homestead
Grandma and Graham hanging out in the garage giving out orders:)

If you look close you can see that little black thing, which is Grahams 1st stitch(cell phone pic)

Looks like little Graham has got a new nick-name, Stitch. As most of you know, he has had quite the little rash on his neck for months now. After trying every cream, ointment, and visiting with doctors, pharmasists, and anyone who had suggestions, we finally had to get a biopsy done to figure out what the heck is going on. Grandma Connie works at a dermatology office, so we had the inside scoop of just what was going to happen. First, the poor kid had to get a shot of lydicane(I hated that when I got my epideral, that never worked by the way) it stings!; then they had to punch out a significant peice of his little neck, AND then............ sew a stitch in it! Graham of course was just fine, it was me who was not. I had geared my self up to be in there with him no matter what. Jared came to my rescue, and also knows whats best and, sent me out of the room, whew! They had to hold him down, which was what he hated so bad. They said he did great, and were quite impressed with him. He wasn't even crying when I came back in. Jared thinks he looks tough now with his stitch and band aid:) As if that wasn't enough for Graham, or me...We then went to his doctor for his 9 mth check up. He had to get a heel prick, and another band aid. Talk about NOT a fun day! He sure was a beast though, seemed like himself the rest of the day.

He weighs 21lbs, is 28.5 inches, and head circ is... I can't remember but I wrote it down somewhere.....all around the 50-60%.

Also, we moved and are staying at Brett and Connies until the house gets finished. Still feels like we are just visiting and not really moved here. We packed up in such a hurry that I feel like I'm still going back there. We sure loved Cheyenne. Its hard to leave great friends, a great house, and Grahams first home. We are very excited for this next chapter though. We LOVE the new house, and can't wait to move in!

Some Summertime Stuff

HiiiYah!!! Graham looks like he is gonna chop someone in this pic. His cousin Olivia will have to teach him some kirate when he gets older. Our summer has been a good one so far, an unusual one, but a good one. We have spent it packing, traveling to and from Utah, and hanging out with our friends. With so much coming up in our lives, Jared said it best...
"we kind of have been wishing the summer away".
With still a lot of summer left, hopefully we can find some time to fit a few more things in.

We did make it to the famous Cheyenne Frontier Days Parade this year. Jared was even a good sport about it. We went with the Eyres, which helped( Jared had a fellow dad to hang out with). Graham was a hit at the parade. All of the people kept waving and smiling at him. I know they do that to everyone at a parade, BUT they were especially sweet to Graham. He loved the horses and everything except the loud sirens.

One thing that we will not miss about living here, not having AC...hello central air..see you real soon!!!!
Truman update: getting fatter and fatter. He can sit, shake, and enjoys his walks now(short ones).

its official...

We are moving to Kaysville, Utah! In less than two months we will have sold a house, bought a house, acquired a new job, and moved. Its been quite a busy time to say the least. We feel so blessed, and have definetly seen the Lords hand in all of this. Jared got laid off June 15. It came to us as quite a surprise, and to say it was stressful would be an understatement. Jared had been looking for jobs just in case, and went into extreme job search mode after the news came. We put our house on the market, and literally 5 DAYS later we had an offer...at listing price!!!!! To make a long story short, Jared found a new job thanks to his hard work, dedication, and great brother. He not only will be making more money, but he will have a specialty rep title(which is a very big deal), and its in Utah! We will be within an hour of basically all of our family. He has to travel significantly less, and there will be fewer over nights. It seems as though we grow closer during hard times. I can't explain how it works, all I know is that I have the most wonderful, determined, patient, loving husband in the world. It is so comforting knowing that we can get through anything together..good and bad. Faith in the Lord includes having faith in his timing( Neal A. Maxwell). Throughout the whole process we tried to stay positive and have faith that everything would work out. It sure has felt like we are being taken care of.

Here it is, our new place. It is in West Kaysville in a new little neighborhood. Its awesome! While we were looking, we just kept coming back to this area because it felt so safe, clean, new, and nice. There are new schools, and cows and horses close by:) Graham needs to keep his farm senses sharp for when he visits Papas place. We got a great deal, and are so excited to make this place our home. We are hoping to be settled for many years here. Jared loved this place from the beginning. Its on just over a half acre lot..thats his favorite part. I'm sure glad he is the one who mows the lawn:) The three car garage, and fire places might be my favorite. Our move in date is September 1st, and we can't wait! More details on the house to come.
